London Open 2011

The London Open 2011 took place in Hackney Downs park. Some of the best hardcourt bike polo teams descended on London in an attempt to become London Open 2011 Champions!

In the end there could be only one winning team and it was Supersonic from Frankfurt/Geneva, well done to Mo, David and Manu who were consistently impressive all weekend! Commiserations go to Call Me Daddy from Grenoble who took second and Cosmic from London who took third. Special mention also goes to Guns At A Knife Fight for winning the “ones to watch” tournament, well played.

2011′s event was a huge success with more teams, more courts, more facilities and around 1,500 spectators in attendance all weekend. This was all made possible by our awesome sponsors: 14 Bike Co, Crumpler and Le Coq Sportif.

We plan on further expanding the tournament again for 2012 with bigger courts, more teams and a much bigger event to try and accommodate the ever increasing number of bike polo players worldwide (currently in excess of 26,000 players).
